Editorial Policy
Scope of this policy
This page describes the editorial processes that X99 News plans to adopt. All items below are proposed and are not yet confirmed as implemented practice. The policy is intended to cover media, publishing, communication technology and related general-interest coverage.
Proposed sourcing and verification
Reporters are planned to rely on primary sources where possible, such as official documents, direct statements and publicly available records, and to attribute information clearly. Where a claim cannot be confirmed, the draft guidance is to say so in the text rather than present it as settled fact. Verification steps are to be documented before publication under the proposed workflow. Further operating details are to be confirmed by the operator: .
Proposed corrections
A correction process is planned: readers would be able to flag possible errors, and confirmed mistakes would be corrected with a visible note describing what changed. Response times and escalation steps are still to be defined.
Proposed conflicts of interest
Contributors are planned to disclose relevant financial interests, outside employment or personal relationships that could affect coverage. Advertising and sponsored material, if introduced, are planned to be labelled separately from editorial content.
Proposed AI use disclosure
If automated tools are used in drafting, research or translation, the proposed rule is to disclose that use in the relevant article or in a standing note. AI-generated text is not planned to be published as verified reporting without human review.
Excluded topics
Political campaigning, gambling, virtual currency promotion, drugs and adult content are outside the intended editorial scope.
