Yuval Noah Harari Works on Middle Class Book Series | US News®

NEW YORK (AP) – Israeli historian, philosopher and million-selling author Yuval Noah Harari has begun work on a planned four-volume mid-range series on a favorite subject: the history of mankind.

Penguin Random House announced on Wednesday that the first volume of his “Unstoppable Us” series, subtitled “How Humans Took Over the World”, will be released worldwide on October 18. Bright Matters Books, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books, will publish it in the United States The books will contain illustrations by Ricard Zaplana Ruiz.

“‘Unstoppable Us’ is the book I wanted to read as a child,” Harari said in a statement. “It tells the story of humans from the time we were just monkeys living in Savannah until the time we almost became gods – like flying planes and spaceships. It’s a fun book – I hope young readers will not put it down – and it is also deadly serious, with the aim of occupying you with the questions it raises. “

Harari, 46, is known for such books as “Sapiens: A Brief History of the Human Child” and “Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow.”
