LOS ANGELES (AP) – Los Angeles police are looking for a man, officials said, who opened fire on a group of people trying to stop him from hitting a dog. Police say witnesses reported seeing the man beat the dog Monday night in an apartment complex. When they shouted at the man to let the dog go, he pulled out a gun and fired at them, according to police, before running away. Officials say a person was shot and hospitalized in stable condition. The suspect is described as about 21 years old and about 6 feet 2 inches tall.
