The Pennsylvania Treasury is holding an unclaimed real estate auction this week. Nearly 4,000 items from the Treasury Department vault will be available Wednesday and Thursday. These items include: An 1882 $ 50 Gold CertificateA Rolex 14-Carat Gold Ladies WristwatchA 18-Carat Gold Chain Bracelet An 18-Carat Gold Bracelet with a Ramshead A one-ounce gold bar. South African KrugerrandsYou can preview the objects online. The state tries to return items to their rightful owners, but sometimes has to auction off the property to make room for incoming items. Each piece of unoccupied property is held for at least three years. The auction proceeds remain available to the owner at all times.
