comedian and The daily show host Trevor Noah had to cancel a Toronto appearance after his plane was unable to land due to bad weather.
Noah was scheduled to attend an event hosted by Islamic Relief Canada, an international charity, at the Paramount Fine Foods Center in Mississauga. However, Noah’s plane had to be diverted after the weather made it impossible to land.
The incident was frightening enough that Noah tweeted that the experience gave him “more clarity.”
“The pilot could not land in Toronto, everyone on the plane starts praying, and I think of all the things I should have done in life,” he tweeted on March 19th.
He also promised to take “more walks, less internet.”
Few things in life give you more clarity than that your plane can not land due to bad weather.
The pilot could not land in Toronto, everyone on the plane starts praying, and I think about all the things I should have done in life …
More walks, less internet.🙏🏽– Trevor Noah (@Trevornoah) March 19, 2022
One of Noah’s followers had empathy with a touch of humor.
Been there. Landing flaps would not fall down; Frozen. It tells you, oddly enough, also the religious beliefs of almost everyone on the plane. Rosaries out, oral or not, atheists look around for parachutes …

Islamic Relief Canada tweeted that they were sad that they could not spend Saturday afternoon with Noah, but they were “grateful that he and his team were able to land safely.”

While Toronto fans may be disappointed, they will get the chance to see Noah on stage this fall. The comedian will perform at Scotiabank Arena on 30 September and 1 October.
