A little more than a month before the premiere on May 5, Paramount + has shared a new trailer Star Trek: Strange new worlds. For those who have grown tired of the darker tone of the franchise during the Alex Kurtzman era, Strange new worlds resembles a return to the relentless optimism and romance put forth by creator Gene Roddenberry. “I love this job,” Pike whispers to Rebecca Romijn’s number one, followed by a brief montage of some of the adventures that the crew on Enterprise will find themselves in season one of the series.
Played out about a decade before The original series, Strange new worlds offers a handful of future Star Trek greats ahead of their career-defining stays at Enterprise, with Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck repeating their respective roles as Pike, Spock and Number One from Star Trek: Discovery season two. To that cast, the series adds people like Celia Rose, who portrays a young Nyota Uhura, and a few newcomers that we have not seen before.
IN USA, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will exclusively stream on Paramount Plus.
