The latest TV spot to Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness contains new footage of Scarlet Witch and Baron Mordo.
The short Cinemark trailer highlights the scope of Doctor Strange’s latest adventure and recommends that fans experience it on as large a screen as possible. To illustrate the point, the video features a series of new clips highlighting Wanda Maximoff’s powerful chaos magic and Mordo’s deadly skill with what appears to be a mysterious sword. The TV spot also features many clips that fans will no doubt recognize from previous trailers, such as Giganto’s hurling of a bus towards the Master of the Mystic Arts and the arrival of a super-powerful person glowing orange and blue.
Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness is expected to open the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe wider than ever before. To deal with the consequences of his actions in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the titular wizard is forced to confront the multiverse and must save it from total collapse. After the events of WandaVision, Scarlet Witch is expected to act as the film’s main antagonist as she comes to terms with her newfound dark abilities. While Baron Mordo was teased like a villain during the original post-credit scene Doctor Strangehis role in the sequel is currently unknown, but fans assume he will oppose the former Sorcerer Supreme.
In addition to the sight of Multiverse of madness, star Benedict Cumberbatch believes the story will have significant implications for the titular character. “I think this goes into the realm of plot spoilers, so I can not talk too much about it, because this film is definitely a development of [his character], “said Cumberbatch.” We will certainly see him challenged on that front. So much I can say. And I think that’s a good thing. We have to shake him up. “
As for Wanda, the Scarlet Witch has a lot to prove in Multiverse of madness; Co-producer Richie Palmer teased that the film will settle a debate that has raged between fans of MCU. “I do not know who is more powerful than Wanda,” Palmer said. “Meet Wanda Maximoff at the end of [Avengers: Endgame] would have been a lot for Strange. Who comes out on top as the most powerful being in the universe? Maybe we’ll find out at the end of the movie. “
Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness coming to the cinema on May 6th.
