Why we love it: Vancouver Fashion Week returns with a series of presentations for the fall / winter 2022 season. The event takes place on 7-10. April and will include “innovative and imaginative” collections from a range of local and international designers.
The event will take place in David Lam Hall (50 E Pender St., Vancouver), and will feature group presentations from international designers, including Unserten from Japan, LGBT from France, Garypie from Ghana and many more. Canadian talents to be shown during shows include Alex S. Yu, Faun Studio, Ay Lelum and others, according to a press release.
Founded in 2001 by Jamal Abdourahman, the biannual event aims to provide a platform for “new designers” who create with a “global perspective and very multicultural approach,” according to the organization’s website. A Vancouver Kids Fashion Week was launched in 2016.
