Taylor Swift teases music in the Trailer Where the Crawdads Sing

As the poet Eve Plumb once said … Marching Girl, Marching Girl, Marching Girl! Everyone in the trailer to Where Crawdads sings always talking about this “marsh girl”, a 5 percent wild young woman played by Daisy Edgar-Jones. She’s the city bogeywoman, but deep down you know she’s a good person because she’s played by a pretty girl, and that’s how these things tend to go. This trailer has it all: a courtroom scene with your Southern lawyer that is standard (puns), a heron on the run, and boys who look like they were walking on the set of the Nicholas Sparks movie and filmed a bit over. The film is based on the best-selling book by Delia Owens, who may have been inspired by her own family’s implication in a Zambian murder. Yikes! Statistically, if you’re in a book club or you’re a producer Reese Witherspoon, you’ve already read this book, but it’s still worth watching the trailer for excerpts from the new track “Carolina”, written and recorded by Taylor Swift for the movie, coming out in July. The closest you get to a singing crawdad until then is the crab Sebastian.
