Technology stocks slid Wednesday, putting pressure on the broader market ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision.   The S&P 500 fell 0.3% in New York trading. The tech-focused Nasdaq Composite Index shed 1.1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was about flat.
