Just yesterday, Arcade Fire was announced as a performer at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2022. The band is now taking the stage at the Mojave tent. See below and follow our entire Coachella 2022 coverage.
A representative of Arcade Fire told Pitchfork that the band is so far only scheduled to perform during Coachella’s first weekend. The band is getting ready for the release of the new album WEarriving May 6th. The follow-up to 2017’s Everything now was produced by Nigel Godrich, Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. So far, Arcade Fire has shared the main single “The Lightning I, II”, along with a music video directed by Emily Kai Bock. Shortly after the announcement WEWill Butler revealed that he left the group after the recording of the new album.
