Robbers stole runner’s Rolex at the tip of a knife in Sale Water Park

A PAIR of robbers stole a Rolex from a runner in Sale Water Park and then ran off on mountain bikes.

Officers were called to the park around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, for a report of the robbery.

An investigation revealed that a runner was in a remote area when he was approached by two men, one of them with a knife.

They asked him to take off his watch, a Rolex Submariner worth thousands of pounds, and then they rode mountain bikes in the direction of Stretford Cemetery.

According to police, the first man has been described as black, in his early to mid-30s, about 6 feet tall and of a large building.

He was wearing a black jacket with a hood up and a black snood covering the lower part of his face.

He was also wearing black training pants and black trainers.

The other man has been described as white, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 in tall and of a light build.

He was wearing a dark gray top with a zipper with a hood on top, as well as dark blue jeans and light trainers.

An investigation is underway and officers are seeking information from people who could have seen two suspicious men in the area at the time.
