Just days after an apparent ceasefire was declared in Kanye West’s social media “Civil War” against Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, the comedian returned to Saturday Night Live for the first time in over a month. However, he did not stand behind the Weekend Update counter or participate in sketches with guest host Jerrod Carmichael. The King of the State of Iceland The actor was rather shown rapping with Chris Redd about the crucial decision to choose a Netflix movie.
Pete Davidson has been missing from SNL since the NBC sketch comedy returned from a break in February. His absence, however, had nothing to do with his recent social media drama with Kanye Westas the actor has begun films his new horror / thriller The home. It’s possible that Davidson was not actually on the set when the cast went live from New York when the clip “Short-Ass Movie” was a pre-recorded part. Watch the funny video below:
That’s funny because it’s true, right? Pete Davidson and Chris Redd’s rap, which called for more movies in less than two hours, also featured the night’s musical guest Gunna and Simon Rex (aka Dirt Nasty), who looked all too good at recreating Jim Varney’s Ernest movie covers. Not only did Davidson mention the nearly three-hour-long blockbuster Batmanhe considered why Sex and the City 2 should be longer than Jurassic Park. He defended, however The King of the State of Iceland‘s driving time of two plus hours.
The call for a short ass movie is definitely one that can be appreciated by buddy Scott Disick. Pete Davidson recently shared a video from “boyz night” that showed Kourtney Kardashian’s ex and a few other friends had fallen asleep and watched King of comedy. Britney Spears even found the situation related, and she did not even know who Disick and Davidson were!
It seemed like the comedian might have been referring to that night in the “Short-Ass Movie” sketch when he said:
We tried to watch the movie Heat while hanging out at my house, but after just under 20 minutes, my boys drooled on the couch.
Another movie, of course, but a pretty familiar scenario! Pete Davidsons Saturday Night Live the return came shortly after Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West, allegedly broke the social media feud he had initiated against Kardashian’s girlfriend. For the sake of his and Kim’s four children, the rapper said he would “go somewhere to get better.”
The announcement came after weeks with more Instagram post calling Kim Kardashian out for co-parenting issues and posed threats against Pete Davidson, including in the lyrics to his song “Eazy” and an accompanying video. Y’s behavior ended up getting him cut from the Grammy series and suspended from Instagram for 24 hours after using a race apology against Trevor Noah.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashain were recently spotted together support son Saint at a football game, so hopefully the outing is a sign that things are really getting better. We also look forward to hopefully seeing more of Pete Davidson SNL, though work continues on his latest film. Check out ours TV show for 2022 to see which new and recurring shows will premiere soon!
