Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab wins her first ever Grammy

Arooj Aftab on Sunday won his first ever Grammy Award for his song “Mohabbat”.

The Pakistani singer won the award in the category “Best Global Music Performance”.

Arooj Aftab, who works mainly in minimalist, jazz and neo-Sufi idioms, was nominated for the 64th Grammy Awards.

She has attracted massive applause with her captivating music and different singing styles in the world.

The music industry awarded its greatest honor at a star-studded Grammy ceremony in Las Vegas.

The Grammy Awards are voted on by the Recording Academy’s voting member body of about 12,000 music makers, representing all genres and creative disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers and engineers.

Trevor Noah, who made his Grammy debut last year, returned to host a show that included appearances by Silk Sonic, Lady Gaga, Chris Stapleton, Billie Eilish, BTS and Olivia Rodrigo.
