Im Wald, a series by Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf, was shot on the spot in the Bavarian and Austrian Alps. It means ‘in the woods’ and draws attention to global issues, including climate change and immigration. Several of the works are inspired by the romantic movement, which paid homage to individualism, human emotions and the wonders of nature. Erwin Olaf: Im Wald is in Hamilton’s Gallery, London until April 23rd. All photos © Erwin Olaf, on loan from Hamilton’s Gallery
