At least Liam Hemsworth can’t say he wasn’t wanted to be warned. His ex-wife, Miley Cyrus, wanted to talk to him before releasing a new song to tell him that he talked about their relationship in the lyrics, but the Australian actor flatly refused to speak to her, RadarOnline.com reports.
The couple, who were married from 2018 to 2020, were once one of the most stable in the artistic milieu, but as often happens in the world of celebrities, love had an expiration date and ended.
Miley prefers to give herself flowers than to have a partner
Just started the year, Miley released a new song, titled ‘Flowers‘, in which she refers to her ex-husband. In part of the lyrics, Cyrus notes that she “didn’t want to leave him,” but then realized she didn’t need a partner and could buy herself flowers to feel good.
“We were fine until we stopped being fine. We built a home and watched it burn,” she notes at another point in the song, for which the singer chose a significant date to release it: Jan. 13, Hemsworth’s 33rd birthday.
She wanted to talk to him to warn him, but had no answer
Varis sources close to the singer assure that she sought out her ex-husband several times, as she wanted to explain to him what the song was about and warn him so that it wouldn’t come as a surprise, but Liam snubbed her and never wanted to talk to her.
“Miley wants to do some emotional healing and was hopeful that she and Liam could find a way to be friends again,” a source said.
“But Liam won’t even return her calls and has let her know through other people that he doesn’t want to have any contact with her,” the insider noted.
