Miley Cyrus was on her way to Paraguay when her plane had to make an emergency landing.
The singer posted a message to her fans on her Instagram on Wednesday, telling them that the plane had been hit by lightning. The notice contained a video of lightning from one of the plane’s windows.
Cyrus was on his way to perform at the music festival Asunciónico.
“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asuncion,” Cyrus wrote. “Our plane was caught in a big unexpected storm and hit by light. My crew, band, friends and family, who all traveled with me, are safe after an emergency landing. Unfortunately, we were not able to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU.”
Cyrus posted a picture of where the plane was hit and the damage caused by the lightning.
The weather conditions were so bad in Paraguay that the first day of the festival was canceled. That means other artists, including Foo Fighters, Machine Gun Kelly and Doja Cat, were unable to perform.
