Melbourne Lord Mayor Sally Capp says the city loves their “friendly competition” with Sydney for New Year’s Eve fireworks.
“For us it is definitely about lighting up the city skyline,” Ms Capp told Sky News Australia.
“We are adding lasers this year. I don’t know if Sydney has got that, but we’ve got lasers.”
