LOS ANGELES, CA – A man, about 40 to 50 years old, was hit and killed by a vehicle in Boyle Heights, authorities said Sunday.
The accident took place just after noon. 22 Saturday in the area of Whittier Boulevard and Esperanza Street, Los Angeles police reported.
The pedestrian was walking north in the pedestrian crossing at Esperanza when he was hit by a westbound Ford Fusion fleeing the scene. Police had no year or color description for the Merger.

Arrived ambulance people declared the man dead on the spot.
