A Sydney man will front court today after allegedly slashing a woman’s throat with a broken bottle.
A woman was allegedly slashed in the neck with a broken bottle during a confrontation in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to Carlisle Avenue in Hebersham on Tuesday afternoon where they found a 34-year-old woman with multiple injuries to her throat.
Police allege she had been struck with a broken bottle.
The woman was taken to Westmead Hospital where she is now in a stable condition.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station.
He has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, resist or hinder police in the execution of duty and breaching bail.
He will appear at Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday.
