maharishi and Andy Warhol Present Collaboration

Following up on its recent Fall/Winter 2022 campaign that revitalized an assemblage of military pints, Hardy Blechman’s maharishi has just presented the latest installment to its ever-growing garment mainline with a new collaboration with Andy Warhol.

The London-based label is traditionally known for tapping into its military inspiration — this was best seen with the brand’s recently-dropped “Battle Royale” collection that blended oversized and boxy silhouettes with details from early and experimental U.S. Air Force flight uniforms.

However, maharishi is taking its latest collection in a different direction, this time introducing a selection of colorful prints that celebrate the Year of the Tiger through Warhol’s tiger stripe variants. As a whole, the collection intends to explore contemporary mediums, as well as the many — and subjective — ways that art is interpreted today.

Throughout the collection, a selection of Warhol’s classic designs are integrated; such as the classic Dollar Sign which was first shown in 1982 at Leo Castelli’s gallery in New York, and the screen prints are used across various maharishi designs such as the M65 Jacket and the Original Snopants.

Other collection highlights are the Hooded Sweat which comes adorned with the Dollar Sign symbol and is complemented by an assortment of tiger skin prints. Also crafted from organic cotton, the hoodie is designed to be oversized with its overarching hoodie and dropped shoulders making it a good companion for the winter season.

You can have a look at the new maharishi x Andy Warhol collaboration above and it is available on the official maharishi website now.
