Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar criticized LeBron James on Sunday afternoon while attending an NBA event where he unveiled a trophy on social justice named after him. Abdul-Jabbar, who has previously criticized James for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, doubled his opinion.
Abdul-Jabbar took an exception with James, who supported Andrew Wiggins earlier in the season, after the Golden State Warriors striker was previously resistant to getting the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as to James sharing a meme on Instagram comparing coronavirus with influenza or a cold. While Abdul-Jabbar disagrees with how LeBron has handled this situation, he would welcome the opportunity to sit down and talk to him about their activism.

“I would not mind doing it if he would take the time. I certainly got the time,” Abdul-Jabbar said. “I admire the things he’s done that have gotten all our attention. Sending an entire school in college? Wow. That’s great. His thoughtfulness and willingness to back it up with his wallet, you have to give him the credit for that. . ” I do not throw stones. Another problem Abdul-Jabbar had was when LeBron received a $ 15,000 fine from the league for a party considered indecent by the league in November.

When Abdul-Jabbar initially criticized LeBron earlier in the season for his views on the pandemic, James chose not to get into a verbal sparring with him.
