Because of you, Anne Hathaway, Kelly Clarkson may never play “Sing That Name That Tune” again.
The daytime talk show host and singer had a fun but deeply related moment of shame in her show Tuesday during a game with the Oscar-winning actress.
As part of the game, Hathaway and Clarkson were accused of being the first to sing the right song after hearing a few beats of the music. Clarkson begged the band to play something she knew, and the band committed – except that Hathaway beat Clarkson to the right answer, putting the chorus to “Since U Been Gone” before the singer.
When Clarkson realized she had been rewarded with her own song, she fell to her knees before planting her face on her mini-stage.
We’ve all been there, Kelly.
“How did you know that from just that ?!” Clarkson screamed at Hathaway.
The actress, however, was gracious over her victory and told Clarkson that “we all love that song.”
“Everyone here knew that,” she said.
But Clarkson owned up to it. “This is embarrassing.”
You had your chance, you blew it up, Kelly. But just calm down; we are sure everyone is “so moving on.”
