Kate Middleton, along with other members of the royal family, must always pack a certain outfit when they go on tour to prepare them for any occasion
During her Queen’s Platinum Jubilee tour of the Caribbean with Prince Williamthat Duchess of Cambridge has turned heads in a number of amazing outfits, all of which are carefully selected in advance. The Duchess brings sunshine with her colorful Royal Tour wardrobe and has stunning in a striking 1950s dress, a sunshine yellow dress from Roxanda and * the * fascinating metallic The vampire’s wife dress.

However, there is a far less colorful outfit that the royals will have packed that we will hopefully not get to see. According to royal protocol, all members of the family must wear black as a sign of respect if someone is to die while they are abroad.

Throughout history, the rule has been honored by various members of the royal family. Back in 1992, when Princess Diana’s father, Lord Spencer, died, the Princess of Wales was away in the Alps skiing with Prince Charles. On the way back, the royal couple followed suit and dressed in all-black attire. However, this has not always been the case.

When the queen’s father, George VI, died in 1952, she was in Kenya on safari with Prince Philip and did not have a mourning suit ready.
As a result, she was not allowed to be photographed until she had been given a suitable outfit, as played out in an episode of series one of Kronen.

A black outfit is always packed during royal trips
William and Kate are in Ireland on a three-day trip. The couple will spend time in Dublin, County Meath, County Kildare and Galway during their journey with a program that “will address Ireland’s rich culture, its effective community and spectacular scenery”.

A statement from Kensington Palace prior to their visit read: “Following Her Majesty the Queen’s historic visit in 2011, the visit will also focus on the relationship between the two countries and build on the theme of remembrance and reconciliation.”

While William and Kate are away, the royal couple’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are likely to be cared for by their nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, while the Duchess’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, are also expected to be ready to help.
