Kate Middleton marvels at a tailored Roksanda dress as she arrives in Jamaica

She had a whirlwind day in Jamaica, but the Duchess of Cambridge still found time to show off her fashion details with three outfit changes in quick succession.

When she left Belize for Jamaica from Belize yesterday, the royal wore a vintage red Yves Saint Laurent jacket she bought while studying at the University of St. Louis. Andrews, where she met Prince William two decades ago.

She then switched to a specially designed Roksanda dress in the yellow of the Jamaican flag when she landed in the country with Prince William.

The tailor-made piece, with a wrap-around top and a wavy skirt, seems to be inspired by Brigitte’s midi dress for £ 1,095 in marigold from the designer brand. Kate’s is designed with short sleeves, but a sleeveless version is available.

To show his love for diplomatic attire again with the yellow attire, the mother-of-three-child combined the statement piece with Aquazzura white heels, with gold stripes carvings.

For outfit number three, Kate switched to a striped coral and turquoise piece believed to be a £ 369 dress from Willow Hilson Vintage – a Cheltenham-based shop – for a visit to Trench Town – the birthplace of reggae music.

Her dress had a square neckline, but spaghetti straps and a shawl are also available. She finished her look with sand-colored wedge shoes and a bracelet by Jamaican designer Lashawndla Bailey-Miller.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Jamaica a few hours after a demonstration against their presence in the country took to the streets.

The couple received a full ceremonial arrival at Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport as they embarked on a three-day trip to the country to mark the Queen’s historic Platinum anniversary.

They were met by a number of dignitaries, including Lisa Hanna, formerly Miss World 1993, who is now a politician from the National People’s Party demanding a referendum to abolish the monarchy.

Their arrival came when up to 100 people demonstrated outside the British High Commission in Kingston by having a British head of state and the question of Britain’s historic role in slavery.

A royal aide said the duke and duchess were “aware of the protest”.

It is understood that William is set to publicly address the issue of slavery in a keynote address he is to give at a dinner hosted by the Governor-General, the Queen’s official representative on the island.

The Queen last visited Jamaica, her fourth largest kingdom, in 2002.

Their arrival came when Kensington Palace released an extraordinary “holiday-style” video taken by the couple who dived Sunday afternoon in Belize.

It shows William and Kate in full diving gear swimming with a meter-long nurse shark.
