Kapil Sharma claps back as the troll says he is trying to ‘lubricate’ Bhagwant Mann to the Rajya Sabha seat

Kapil Sharma’s recent tweet in praise of the new Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann gave him some trolling on social media. However, the comedian had an answer ready for one of the trolls. His witty response was appreciated by the fans. Bhagwant Mann, who recently took the oath as Punjab CM, was an actor and comedian like Kapil before entering politics. In fact, the two starred in different seasons of the same TV show – The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Also read: Kapil Sharma, Nandita Das meets Naveen Patnaik in Odisha during filming

Kapil had quoted a tweet from Punjab CM in which he talked about launching an anti-corruption helpline. Kapil shared the tweet and wrote: “So proud of you paji (brother).” He added emojis with hugs, heart and applause at the end. In response to this tweet, a social media user suggested that Kapil praised the new Punjab CM for some personal gain. “Lubricate him too for a Rajya Sabha seat like Harbhajan,” the Hindi tweet read. Cricketer Harbhajan Singh was recently announced by the Punjab government as one of the state’s three representatives to Rajya Sabha, the upper house of parliament.

Kapil reacted to the gibberish in his own way. He shared the original tweet and wrote back in hindi: “Not at all Mittal sir (user’s name on social media), my little dream is for the country to evolve (emoji with folded hands). If you want, I can ask for one jobs for you. “

Fans of the comedian praised him for his witty rip-off. A fan replied: “He wants to see Kapil sir in his dreams now”. Several fans shared their educational qualifications, joking that if Kapil actually offered jobs, they would also like to be considered.

Bhagwant Mann started his career as a satirist and comedian on Punjabi TV channels before his appearance on the Great Indian Laughter Challenge brought him to the mainstream. He entered politics in 2011 and participated unsuccessfully in the by-elections the following year. In 2014, he joined the Aam Aadmi party. He was a member of parliament from Sangrur for eight years before retiring after winning the general election earlier this month.

Kapil was the winner of the third season of the Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He continued to host his own comedy show Comedy Nights With Kapil from 2013-16 before moving to another channel with his new show The Kapil Sharma Show.
