With a 180-degree view of downtown Toronto and speakers built into its 11-foot ceilings, this luxury condo on top of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel boasts luxury.
The listed costs? $ 23.5 million.
This suite, located on the 46th floor of 183 Wellington St. West, costs about $ 4,020 per. square feet – 2.8 times higher than the average price per square meter in Toronto, as a study by Urbanation showed at $ 1,429 in the 2021 report.
Andy Taylor, the apartment’s agent and senior vice president of sales at Sotheby’s Realty, attributed the award to the room’s unique features and party size.
“I can count on two hands how many units there are [of almost 6,000 square feet] in the city, ”Taylor said. “And yet the demand for these devices just keeps rising.”
This apartment is the size of two combined units measuring up to a total floor area of 5,845 square meters. Taylor estimates that only 10 percent of luxury units in the building have more than 3,000 square feet.
There are two private lifts giving direct access to the five bedroom and five bathroom suite. The apartment, which is still under renovation, is also home to two living spaces, a wine cellar and three fireplaces.
The sleek white marble accents contrast with the luxurious dark walnut panels in the bedroom. The main bathroom has more marble in its underfloor heating, steam shower and double sinks.
There is also an eight-foot island in the home’s “gourmet kitchen” that includes tall cabinets, two ovens, a steam oven and a microwave.
At the Ritz-Carlton, guests and residents have access to 24-hour concierge service, an indoor pool, fitness center, a theater, a spa and housekeeping.
While this is out of the budget for most people, Taylor says the demand for these luxury apartments in Toronto is rising.
“The prices, they seem to be pretty amazing for people living here in Toronto, but internationally they are not,” Taylor said.
“When we look at our client’s assets elsewhere, [Toronto] is still a very good place to put money. “
According to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board, the average price of a condominium in Toronto last quarter was just under $ 800,000.
