Kaley Cuoco had a hard time coming to terms with not being cast in Knives Out successor.

The Emmy nominee Stewardess star, 36, told Glamor about auditioning for a role in author / director Rian Johnson’s star-studded ensemble mystery The knives out 2, which hits Netflix later this year. Cuoco said she was “devastated” at not landing the part that eventually went to Kate Hudson.

“I was convinced [the part was mine]. Kate Hudson ended up getting it. But I was so convinced that my bags were packed for Greece. And then I did not get it. I was so crushed, “she told the magazine.” And I’m not [normally] crushed over roles. I had read chemistry, I had made zoom. And I did not get it. I cried and cried all night long. And it went to Kate, who is amazing. “

The next day, however, she said she was called up to make the upcoming rom-com Meet Cute, where she plays alongside Pete Davidson. She was at first discouraged by her chances.

“They said, ‘We have an interesting script.’ And I said, “I do not want to read anything. I stink. Nobody wants me. “They said, ‘You have to read this.’ And Pete was already attached, and I think, ‘Okay, I want to read it.’ And when I did, I said, ‘This is the most magical little script.’ And I would never have gotten it if I did [got] Knives. It just shows you that you are where you need to be, “she explained.” I mean, I was sorry. And that was when I thought I was on fire, like, ‘I’ll definitely get that.’ And they said, ‘No, we’re going with Kate.’ “
