After Cassie Randolph surprised fans with a performance of Bachelor season finale earlier this month, she joined Kaitlyn Bristowe to an candid interview about her past reality – and her future outside the camera.
“I do not even think I was going not to do it,” it said Bachelor alum, 26, said during Tuesday, March 22, the episode of the “Off the Vine” podcast, explaining why she has not talked much about her time on the ABC series. “I think it just happened that way. … If they ever wanted me to perform like the other night, it was super fun. Randolph’s appearance on Bachelor finale marked the first time she had talked about her time on the show. “I feel like people were so shocked that I was on,” she told Bristowe. “I would love to know why people thought it was such a big issue.”
During the episode, the Biola University candidate told the host Jesse Palmer that she saw similarities between her time on the show and Susie Evans‘situation with Echard, 28. The wedding videographer, also 28, decided to leave the episode in fantasy suites after learning that the Missouri native had been intimate with the other two finalists. Randolph also left the show before Underwood sent her two other finalists home to win her back.
“I was definitely déjà vu when I saw this, for sure,” said the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire alum during the finale. “I think the fact that Susie left in the first place just shows you know she really stuck to her intuition and was right – no matter how hard it was, she had to go.”
Randolph added that she hoped Evans did not feel any “pressure” to be reunited with Echard if he tried to win her back – which he did. The duo revealed during the finale that they reunited after the filming ended.
“When she first came on the show, she wanted to find something,” Randolph said. “I just hope she sticks to her intuition.”
