Dragon Ball ZAndroid 14’s returns in a new work of art.
The official dragon ball website has unveiled a new work of art from Toyotarou, the artist behind Dragon Ball Super manga. The artist followed up on their February 15 Android illustration with a new drawing of 15’s emotionless partner, Android 14. The two androids originally appeared in the 1992 film Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!. This version of Android 14 was created by the late Dr. Gero in an alternate timeline and was built with the purpose of destroying Goku. While Android 14 and 15 proved to be a match for Vegeta and Trunks in their standard forms, the two robot warriors were quickly sent off by the father-son duo as they both became Super Saiyan.
“I’m excited to see the new Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, in the new one SUPERHELT film !, “the artist wrote on the illustration.
Toyotarou has designed Androids to promote the upcoming release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the 21st film in the long-running and beloved martial arts series. The film will show the return of a newborn Red Ribbon Army who has constructed a new pair of Android warriors to take revenge on Son Goku and his friends. While Goku has traditionally been the primary target of the red tape, the new film will concentrate on the relationship between Gohan and Piccolo, which will debut a new, more powerful form in the film.
Super Hero was originally scheduled to premiere in Japan in April with a release in North America this summer. But the film was recently put on indefinite delay following a hacking incident at anime studio Toei Animation. Toei, who has produced dragon ball anime ever since the 1980s, was the target of an unauthorized intrusion into its private network on March 6th. The hack caused a shutdown of the company’s network, allegedly resulting in the deletion and corruption of files related to the production of the anime studio’s projects. In addition to dragon ballhas the hack caused some of the company’s most popular shows, such as One piece and Digimon: Ghost Gamemust be placed indefinitely.
Toyotarou, meanwhile, continues to work on Dragon Ball Super manga. The manga is in the last act of the current Granolah the Survivor saga. The sequel series is designed by Toyotarou and supervised by dragon ball‘s original creator, Akira Toriyama.
