Channing Tatum and Thandiwe Newton are fighting.

Recordings on the third Magic Mike The film stopped yesterday in London after actress Thandiwe Newton abruptly left production.

Initial reports indicated that Newton’s exit was due to a very heated verbal exchange between her and co-star Channing Tatum, who plays the lead role and is the producer on the film.

The argument was allegedly over the infamous ‘Oscars Slap’ where Will Smith beat Chris Rock on stage after a joke was made about Jada Pinkett Smith. For you movie lovers, you will remember that Newton and Smith performed together in the 2006s That Pursuit of happiness.

According to The sunsaid a crew member: “Channing Tatum is producer and number one on the set. Thandiwe Newton is number two star. But 11 days inside the filming and it’s all over.

“They fell over the debacle at the Oscars. I was on the set. I saw her and saw him. They were in and out of the house where we were filming and had this confrontation. It was a tense exchange, but suddenly escalated – Channing got into this car and he disappeared.

“People looked at each other and thought, ‘Wait, we’re supposed to film.’ After the quarrel, he just said, ‘I’m not working with her anymore.’ the movie.”

Newton was also charged with “diva-like” behavior on the set and was quickly fired after the exchange with Tatum.
