Bridgerton newcomer Simone Ashley was worlds away from the drama’s Regency London setting when she stepped out on Tuesday for the great season two premiere on the Netflix show Tate Modern in the capital.
The 26-year-old actress, who plays Kate Sharma in the Netflix show, made sure all eyes were on her as she glimpsed her diaphragm in a white cropped top with ruffled details.
She wore a see-through black skirt with floral embroidery sequins and opted for high-waisted black satin hot pants underneath.

The premiere comes after she said there is ‘a lot of sexual excitement’ in season two of the Netflix show, adding that she will not watch it with her mother and father Latha and Gunasekharan to save herself from embarrassment.
In an interview with NET-A-PORTER’s digital magazine PORTER, she said: ‘Second season is much more cruel. There is a lot of drama and a lot of sexual excitement.

She said: ‘I am deeply proud of my legacy [but] no, I’m not a spokesman for Indians, I’m an actress. For me, my responsibility is to read the script, do the work, show up on the set and do a good job. That is it.
‘I guess everyone handles it their own way, but I’m an actress in the end. Opportunities should be open to every person and I just think we are there enough. ‘
The former Sex Education star opens up about having a busy work schedule, but will still find time for self-care, not having her phone insight is one of the ways she achieves this.

While the plot may have sexual tensions between the characters running through it, Netflix executives have decided to limit the number of sex scenes in Bridgerton, as the new series only offers three minutes of naughty moments.
The violent period drama became known for its steamy scenes in season 1, primarily with Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and The Duke Of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page).
But according to The Sun, fans can expect a tamer romance between the new main characters Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) as their flirtation ‘goes no further than an almost kiss’.

It is understood that there will only be three minutes of sex scenes in the upcoming series, while it is believed that viewers will have to wait until the end of episode 7 on a really naughty scene.
In defense of toning down sex scenes in the series, creator Chris Van Dusen said, “It was never about quantity for us, and our approach to intimacy in the series was the same as season 1.”
He said they use intimate scenes to ‘push a story forward’, adding: ‘We never made a sex scene to make a sex scene and I never think we will.
‘It all serves a bigger purpose and it’s a different story this season and different characters we’ve been with Anthony and Kate most of the season and it’s very different from Daphne and Simon. That’s a different story. ‘
The entire season premieres on Netflix on Friday, March 25th.
