AMA urges Victorians to wear masks to fight rising flu and COVID cases – Mornings

The Victorian branch of the Australian Medical Association is recommending a return to mask wearing as influenza and COVID cases soar.

Speaking to Virginia Trioli on Mornings, president Dr Roderick McRae said doctors are not calling for a mask mandate to be reintroduced, but for a voluntary return to masks indoors.

“All of these respiratory illnesses can be transmitted by you to an innocent party before you know you’ve got it,” he said.
