New Delhi:
The trailer off Dasvi released Wednesday and it’s gripping in every sense. The teaser shows the story of a corrupt prime minister named Ganga Ram Chaudhary (played by Abhishek Bachchan), who is sent to jail. A man accustomed to powerplay finds himself lost in the land of the alphabets. During his stay in prison, he meets a tough cop (played by Yami Gautam), who pushes for him and challenges him to fulfill his long-lost dream of completing his grade 10 exam. His struggles to keep up with the curriculum while locked up inside a jail provide an interesting clock. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan’s wife in the film (played by Nimrat Kaur) has to take over CM’s chair, and once she does, she’s anything but willing to let go of it.
The description of the film’s trailer on YouTube read: “From counting votes to counting the days back to his exams in 10th grade. Will Gangaram pass with flying colors?”
