According to our sources, in India, iQOO 9 will be powered by Snapdragon 888+ SoC.
It is no secret that iQOO 9 series It is set to launch in India in the coming weeks. The company has not yet confirmed the launch date of the device, but IQOO India CEO Nipun Marya confirmed to us earlier this month that the device will be launched in India soon.
The series will bring two new phones – iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. And before the rumor February India launch, we now have the full details sheet and special information about the pricing of iQOO 9.
iQOO 9: India Pricing
According to our sources close to the company, in India, both iQOO 9 phones will not be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Instead, the iQOO 9 will have a Snapdragon 888+ chip. This seems to be a decision to keep the pricing of iQOO 9 at competitive levels. Our source has revealed that the iQOO 9 will be priced between Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 in India and will be ranked as a direct competitor to the OnePlus 9RT in the country.
iQOO 9: Specifications
As mentioned above, we have access to the full specification sheet of iQOO 9, revealing all the information about the hardware of the Indian version of the device. Initially, the phone supports a 6.56-inch 10-bit AMOLED panel for a fast 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, we will have the Snapdragon 888+ chipset on the device, which will be paired with several RAM and storage options, all with LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1 configurations. The phone will run on FunTouchOs 12 (based on Android 12) out-of-the-box, which will also bring support for the company’s extended RAM feature which will add 4GB of virtual RAM to improve performance.
iQOO 9 will also bring to the table some of the first gaming features, including an intelligent display chip for graphics enhancement, and support for in-display Monster Touch gaming triggers. To control the temperature, the phone will come with a steam chamber cooling solution.
For optics, the iQOO 9 will get a 16MP lens on the front and a 48MP IMX 598 sensor with rear setup and a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 13MP 50mm professional portrait lens. Interestingly, the primary lens will also have support for gimbal stabilization.
Placing the lights on the device will pack a 4350mAh battery that provides support for 120W fast charging which helps the phone fill to the edge in about 18 minutes. Our source informed us that the Indian variant of iQOO 9 will weigh 200 grams and be 8.63mm thick.
