Death of Bob Saget: Actor and comedian recently spoke about the battle with COVID-19; fans reportedly said he looked good

ORLANDO, Fla. — While the official cause and manner of Bob Saget’s death have not been released, the beloved comedian was reportedly diagnosed with COVID-19 weeks before he died.

According to a report published by People MagazineSaget referred to his battle with the coronavirus on his last show of the weekend, but people in the audience say the comedian looked good.

Saget reportedly texted a friend two days before his death about his diagnosis, saying he got sick sometime around the holidays but was feeling better.

According to a sheriff’s office report released Monday, Saget was found dead lying face up on his bed in a luxury Florida hotel room with no signs of trauma. There were no signs of malicious intent, and the room itself was fine, “with Mr. Saget’s stuff on the nightstand, TV stand, closet, and bathroom.”

The district medical examiner’s office said the autopsy was performed Monday morning.

“At this time, there is no evidence of drug use or malicious intent,” wrote lead medical researcher Joshua Stephany.

The official cause of death and mode of death are still pending and the full investigation and autopsy report could take 10-12 weeks.
