Chris Hemsworth pushes his skills to new frontiers.
In an Instagram video shared Thursday, the 38-year-old Aussie star tried a different style of exercise than his app, Centr.
Filmed by his personal trainer Luke Zocchi, Hemsworth saw his Thorhammering skills to the test – but this time with an axe.
“Use your power to good use,” Zocchi says in the clip, as Hemsworth begins to knock the ax down.
The avengers star made several attempts before finally splitting the log in two.
“If you don’t succeed at first, try it, try again and again…😂💪”, he joked in the caption.
Several fans and followers of the Hollywood actor flocked to the video’s comments, joking about comparing his strength to that of his Marvel character.
“Looks like Thor is a little rusty,” one fan joked, while another suggested he “call Captain America” to help him out.
“Captain America did that with bare hands, but you can’t,” added another fan.
The post comes a day after Hemsworth and his trainer shared a “quick 10-minute low-impact bodyweight workout” from their Centr app for fans to try.
The exercises were HIIT style and included moves like squats, bike sit-ups, rock climbers and reverse lunges.
“It gets more challenging in the second round. So strap in and get ready,” Hemsworth captioned the video.
In the past year, Hemsworth has amassed more muscle than ever before. The actor is working on his physique for his role as pro wrestler Hulk Hogan in the upcoming biopic.
“There’s an aesthetic the role requires,” he told The Telegraph of his Thor character. “Bodybuilding is seen as vanity, whereas if I gained a lot of unhealthy weight, or got unhealthily skinny for a part, I would probably be called a serious actor.
“The training for 10 years is a full-time job. That and then a 12-hour shooting day – it’s a real grind. It’s also incredibly rewarding – you have to see it as a professional athlete.”
