The police chief in New Hampshire’s largest city made another plea on Wednesday for anyone with information about Harmony Montgomery, who was last seen in 2019 at the age of 5, and said detectives are working on about 300 tips and the reward fund is grown to $104,000.

“They are all under investigation,” Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg said at an impromptu press conference.

‚ÄúSomeone out there knows something. Whatever arises in the conscience of people as human beings to step forward and do the right thing, whatever it takes,” he said.

Police on Monday completed their search for a home in Manchester, Harmony Montgomery’s last known residence, as they investigate the disappearance of the New Hampshire girl, who was not reported missing until late last year.

Harmony’s father and stepmother are arrested on charges of her welfare. They have pleaded innocent.

Aldenberg corrected the time the police last saw Harmony. He originally said it was in October 2019 during a service visit to the house. He now says that date was September 2019.

Police first learned that Harmony might be missing when they received a phone call from the girl’s mother in November. The mother, who lost custody of Harmony in 2018, had been trying to locate the girl for months, police said.

He said police began investigating missing persons on Dec. 27 after being told by the state’s Child Protective Services Department that she could not be found.

“I’ll be honest with you, I’m a little discouraged, but we remain determined to find Harmony and bring her home to the people who care for her,” he said.

When asked if Harmony’s thought was still alive, Aldenberg said, “I’m going. … until someone tells me otherwise or shows me something concrete, invaluable, that tells you not to, then this research is aimed at pretending Harmony still alive Wouldn’t you want that for you?”

Anyone with information can call the 24-hour tipline at 603-203-6060, he said.
