Police have charged a 30-year-old Hoppers Crossing man after a double fatality in the country of Victoria in December.
Emergency services were called to the Western Highway after reports that two cars had collided head-on near Won Won Dah – Dadswell Bridge Road in Laharum, Horsham town, on December 27 at around 10:15 am.
Two women were killed in the collision and three others were seriously injured.
Victoria Police said yesterday that detectives questioned and charged a 30-year-old Hoppers Crossing man in connection with the collision.
He has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving resulting in death and two counts of reckless behavior resulting in lives, as well as dangerous driving resulting in serious injury.
He has been released on bail, subject to conditions, to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates Court for a hearing on Thursday, January 13.
