The head of Google’s industry and retail division and the vice president of the Chicago Chamber of Commerce, Ted Souder, called on chambers of commerce in all countries to make maximum use of the topics discussed during the 12th session of the World Chambers Conference, hosted by the Dubai Chamber, specifically to develop a five-year strategic plan that keeps pace with global change and enhances preparedness for future changes.

Soder said yesterday in a session entitled “Pioneers of Progress: A Call to Action”, at the end of the conference: “We will not return to the conditions of 2019, and we must build a new strategic vision for the future, pointing out that digitization is the way forward to make chambers of commerce the center of society.

Soder pointed out that the companies could get out of the pandemic as the common solution is digitization, while also stressing that in the event of a new crisis, business will be in a much better position.

In addition, the International Chambers of Commerce praised the critical role the Dubai Chamber plays in supporting local and global business communities, after being informed about the Chamber’s experience in digital transformation, supporting the private sector in taking on challenges and launching the chambers of commerce transformation system.

The Director of the International Relations Department of the Dubai Chamber, Hassan Al-Hashemi, emphasized the crucial role the Dubai Chamber plays in enabling the private sector to overcome the obstacles raised by the “Covid-19” pandemic. , and its zeal to provide its key services in the digital space.
