Frustrated drivers at gas stations stick it on Biden with “I did that” decals

Consumers angry at rising gas prices are putting stickers on gas pumps with an image of President Biden saying, “I did that,” pointing to the total price paid by the driver.

And stickers of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, who says, “I helped,” are placed right next to Mr. Biden’s “I did that” stickers.

The stickers, which are available online in stacks of 100 to 300 and cost between $7 and $20, are reportedly popping up at gas pumps across the country and were seen by The Washington Times at pumps along I-95 and other highways in the US. several states between Washington, DC and Florida.

Another sticker shows a shirtless, unkempt Hunter Biden, the president’s son, who is known to struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, smoked a cigarette and said, “Gas prices higher than Hunter Biden.”

Mr Biden released 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve on Tuesday to counter high energy prices ahead of the holiday travel season. But officials say it will take weeks for the move to affect the market, and industry analysts say it probably won’t have a major impact on prices.

During his remarks, Biden declined to take the blame that his policies were the cause of high gas prices, pointing instead to profit-seeking in the industry.

“The price of gasoline in the wholesale market has fallen by about 10% in recent weeks. But the price of the pump hasn’t gone up a cent,” Mr Biden said. “In other words, gas suppliers pay less and earn much more. And they don’t seem to pass that on to the consumer at the pump.”

Biden, however, has an uphill battle to convince Americans that he is impeccable. According to a new poll by Yahoo News/YouGov, more than 77% of Americans say inflation affects their lives as they enter the holiday season — and 57% blame Mr. Biden.

“Pocketbook issues are unbiased issues, and the ongoing pain at the pump is causing a lot of frustration across the country,” GOP communications adviser Alice Stewart told The Washington Times. “President Biden says ‘the buck stops with me,’ it is true, and his policies are responsible for the inflationary prices that people struggle with at the gas station, supermarket, parking lot and everywhere they pay more in this not-so- ‘passing’ period.”

She said: “Liberal policies have resulted in a huge sticker shock for consumers. It seems appropriate that consumers give something back with a sticker of their own.”

Government officials say the high inflation is mainly the result of higher demand and reduced supply of a variety of goods as the global economy emerges from the two-year pandemic.

The prop stickers at gas stations build on a growing anti-Biden sentiment seen in sports arenas where fans sing or download rap songs titled “F*** Joe Biden” or his G-rated cousin, “Let’s Go Brandon.”

In Sea Grove Beach, Florida, wealthy homeowner Marvin Peavey, a Georgia real estate and property management businessman, has been battling the Walton County government for months for hanging two banners on the side of his multi-story condo. One says “Trump Won” and the other reads “Let’s Go Brandon.”

mr. Peavey, who was fined $50 a day for signage, told the Northwest Florida Daily News, “Fifty dollars a day isn’t for me. … I’m not going to remove it.”
