Four people have been arrested following an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in the Clarenville area.
RCMP says two homes — one in Clarenville, the other in Shoal Harbor — were searched this week, resulting in the seizure of cocaine, crack cocaine, ecstasy and various opioids.
The four accused were released to appear in court at a later date on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking in human beings and production of a controlled substance.
Police warn that many illegal drugs are adulterated with various substances, including fentanyl.
They say it’s important to plan and prepare for a possible opioid overdose by carrying a Naloxone kit.
Information on preparing for an overdose can be found here.
