Thepchaiya Un-Nooh produced as good a performance as you’re likely to see over a best-of-11 frame match, beating in five centuries in a 6-1 demolition of Stephen Hendry at the British Championship.

The Thai star is capable of brilliant, and while he doesn’t always show it, he was at his best in York when he defeated the seven-time world champion.

Breaks of 136, 129, 107, 106, 100, 59 and 52 were made by the man known as F1, with Hendry managing to squeeze the fourth frame of the match with a break of 57 himself.

Hendry scored 64 points in the frame he won but only one point in the other six frames, but there was little that could be done against the quality of the Thai.

F1 also lived up to its moniker, finishing the race with an incredible average record time of just 14.2 seconds.

Thepchaiya becomes only the fourth man in snooker history to make five centuries in a best-of-11 match after Fergal O’Brien, Judd Trump and Matt Selt.

The stunning performance lands Thepchaiya a spot in the final 64 where he will meet either Zhao Xintong or Yuan Sijun.
