Even if the party cells are divided, the Prime Minister will bring a bill on religious discrimination

Prime Minister Scott Morrison will personally introduce the long-awaited law on religious discrimination in Parliament today.

The federal government – which has promised to protect Australians in the 2019 elections – has welcomed the bill as a “shield, not a sword.”

But critics – including within its own sphere – claim that there are still gaps in the proposed law – which could leave some people even worse.
