The 9-year-old, the oldest of Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s three children, made a rare public appearance in a pre-recorded tribute video to her father played during his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last month. The 2021 inductees ceremony will air on HBO on Saturday, November 20.
The tribute video to the rapper and producer was released later. Blue Ivy appears at the end of the clip, following in the footsteps of Beyoncé and over 30 other celebs, with each contestant reciting a Jay-Z lyric.
“Congratulations S. Carter, ghostwriter. You paid the right price, so we’re just tightening up your hits,” Blue Ivy said, performing an edited and censored version of her father’s 1998 song “Ride or Die,” before she burst out laughing.
