Real Madrid beat Granada 4-1 on Sunday with two assists from Tony Cruz to lead the Spanish Football League.
Goals from Marco Asensio, Nacho Fernandez, Vinicius Jr. and Ferlan Mendy put Real two points ahead of second-placed Sevilla and third-placed Real Sociedad, who face Valencia on Sunday.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s side got off to a strong start, with Asensio and Nacho scoring on two crosses in the 25th minute to give them a 2-0 lead.
But minutes later, Luis Suarez returned Nacho’s deflected shot to Granada, stunned Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from the left, and the ball went to the other side.
Granada equalized after Vinicius scored shortly after the break, thanks to a team effort from Karim Benzema and Casimiro.
After Granada’s Moncho was sent off for a violent foul against Vinicius, Mendy completed the visitors’ goals.
