New Hampshire gets more than $8.3 million to support tourism – Boston News, Weather, Sports

CONCORD, NH (AP) — New Hampshire will receive more than $8.3 million to support marketing, staffing and other projects to boost business and travel in the state.

Funding was allocated through the American Rescue Plan. The state congressional delegation announced the funds last week.

“Travel and tourism are core industries that feed New Hampshire’s local economies — these sectors are essential to our state’s recovery from the pandemic,” US Senator Jeanne Shaheen said in a statement.

The grant from the Commerce Department’s Economic Development Administration, which makes investments in economically distressed communities to create jobs, foster innovation and accelerate long-term sustainable economic growth.
