Manchester City climbed to second place in the English Premier League with a 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium.
One minute before the break, Rahim Sterling took the lead for City after a superb pass from Joao Cancello’s outside pass.
Rodrigo took a 2-0 lead with a long-range shot, trailing Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Sterling missed an easy chance to score as they could not deal with the cross, even though they were directly ahead of Everton’s goal.
Cole Palmer, 19, entering City’s starting lineup for the first time in the league, hit the ball with a change of direction and scored the third goal from close range to Bernardo Silva.
In the league, Chelsea is 3 points behind City with 29 points, while Liverpool is 3 points behind and is in the third position.
Everton are 11th with 15 points unbeaten in six consecutive games.
