Residents and entrepreneurs are asked what characteristics they would like to see in the city centers of Caringbah, Miranda and Sutherland/Kirrawee.

Sutherland Shire Council has sought feedback as it prepares plans aimed at revitalizing “these important community spaces”.

The council says the information will provide a better understanding of the needs and expectations of the local community.

The feedback will also help develop the housing strategy, phase 2 and a comprehensive review of the LEP (2015 Local Environmental Plan), which is expected in 2022.

Andrew Carfield, City Council director, said in a statement that centers are “important places where people work, shop, connect with friends and family, access transportation and enjoy services that enhance the appeal and character of our large urban environments.” strengthen.

“As Sutherland Shire continues to grow and change, so will the role of our key local centers,” he said.

“The health and vitality of these centers is critical to the local economy and to the convenience and lifestyle of our residents.

“We are committed to ensuring these centers meet the current and future needs of the community. That’s why a planned approach to their revitalization is so important and why our community’s input is so vital to this process.”
