The backlog of the Queensland quarantine system could continue for months

Emails received by Sky News show that Queensland’s quarantine system is still in the swamp despite the introduction of many staff and home quarantine tests.

The most affected residents are trying to re-enter the state as applications worth three months are currently backlog.

Citizens outside of Queensland are facing the possibility of closure if the pace of approval of applications does not pick up by Christmas or possibly early 2022.

The email indicates that approvals are based on the limited availability of quarantine room and staff received only through a portion of the application pass.
